1957 NRHS Convention - Excursion to Matoaka

| The 1957 NRHS
National Convention was held in Roanoke,
Virginia. One of the many
excursion trips that took place was a
circuit from Roanoke to Matoaka, West
Virginia along the N&W's Bluestone
Branch. At Matoaoka the train
would be interchanged with the Virginian
Railway for the return trip to Roanoke.
The photos below illustrate the
activities that took place in Matoaka on
Sunday, September 1, 1957.
